The Descend MIPS is Smith's low-profile take on a serious resort helmet, using in-mold construction to fuse the outer shell directly to the EPS foam in one piece rather than bonding separate parts together. Zonal Koroyd handles energy absorption in the zones that see the most impact, and MIPS sits underneath to manage rotational force on an angled hit.
Sixteen vents keep air moving, with Smith's AirEvac system pulling warm, foggy air away from your goggle lens through internal EPS channels rather than just hoping it escapes on its own. A 360° micro-adjustable dial fit gets you locked in fast, and removable, audio-compatible Snapfit SL2 ear pads add warmth on cold days or come off entirely once spring skiing rolls around.
