Troy Lee Designs built the D4 Composite around an aerospace-grade composite shell that keeps weight down to around 1050g while still delivering full-face protection for aggressive trail and enduro riding. MIPS C2 technology sits between the shell and liner to reduce rotational forces in an angled impact.

An EPP collarbone impact system adds a layer of protection that's uncommon at this weight, and 24 vents keep air moving through long, punchy climbs so the helmet doesn't turn into an oven before the descent even starts.
